I don't see why they would be. They obviously leave the embryos with good egg sitters that keep them warm, er, cold as it were.

...isn't used in research to help humanity better then being treated like garbage? Because if they aren't ever used by someone...that's what is gonna happen.

i know it's the only way some people can get pregnant and have their own biological children....but i see the frozen embryo thing as not a good thing.
what if you choose the wrong embryo and give birth to a serial killer, while the cancer cure doctor embryo is left frozen...

Yes. Hundreds of thousands of embryos have been ';abandoned'; in fertility labs and will ultimately be destroyed or eventually degrade. Even though destroying them will be the equivalent of aborting them, they can't be used for medical research because that would be like . . . .aborting them, and when they are destroyed no one will notice. At present these embryos are simply in an indefinite limbo. A real one, not the one that the Catholic Church officially has no stance on but commented about last year to solace folks about what happens to aborted fetuses.
