No judgment please, just a question for curiosity's sake. Are you still together? Were you intimate when you lived together?

We lived together for 6 years before we got married, yes, we were intimate and we are still together.How many Christian couples lived together before marriage?
This is not a judgment. No, did not live together, yes, we are still together after 10 years. Things are still challenging though.





The scripture tells us that it is better to marry than to burn with lust, that why it is advisable to go ahead and marry the person if you know the you guys want to be together.





Hopefully, since both of you are Christians that you guys have prayed about being together, and waited for confirmation.





Also, there is some really strong statistics about people/couples that co-habitat with one another prior to marriage. Not very good outcomes.





But, we are supposed to have faith, and trust God.
No, we did not live together before we were married. We talked about it, though, and did decide that it was not the example we wanted to set for family and friends.


Were we tempted? Heck yes! Fortunately we were only engaged 6 months before our wedding. We dated 5 and 1/2 years before he proposed, so we felt like we knew each other really well before tying the knot. We married in August 2008 and are very happy together.
I did not, and I'm glad we didn't. It made it more special and exciting to live together after we were married, something else to look forward too.


Did you know a large percentage of couples who live together before marriage end up divorcing? Makes you wonder why.
Yes we did and no, we are no longer married. My Christian turned out to be a self-hating homo.
